Ward 19 doesn't need another politician.

I am a lifelong resident of East York. From my early years at Chester Public School to East York Collegiate, this corner of the city has always been home. Today I'm raising my own family here, and as a renter and a single father, I share the same hopes and pressures that most of my neighbours feel every single day.

My values were shaped by a unique upbringing. I was raised by an LGBTQ single mother: a proud Irish Catholic with Red Sky Métis roots. She taught me that real strength is found in compassion and in looking out for one another. She instilled in me a lifelong commitment to fairness, and a deep conviction that the people most often ignored by those in power are usually the ones who need representation the most.

While studying history and political science at Trent University, my passion for social justice only deepened. But for the past 15 years, I've been training for this challenge: I just didn't realize it until now.

Professionally, I’ve spent the majority of my career in Retail Leadership. I’ve worked with iconic global brands, small retailers just getting their feet wet, and everything in between. My calling card, the true value I brought these companies, was my ability to identify talent, build high performing teams, and cultivate new, emerging leaders. This experience proves I can unify large groups of diverse individuals around a single vision. I build coalitions. And I win.

I am not interested in politics as usual. I believe local government should work for every single person, not just the wealthy or well-connected. I'm driven by one simple goal: making sure that tenants, working families, newcomers, and underserved communities have a clear, loud voice at City Hall.

I'm running because I believe our local government should finally represent the entire ward, with far greater emphasis on the EY of BEY. And because Ward 19 deserves someone who has spent their entire life and career proving they can lead, build, and deliver.
